(1) With this patient, the images of the communication between the pericardium and the thoracic duct could be more clearly identified, due to improvements in computerizing techniques.(2) Typically metastatic melanoma involves the pericardium and myocardium; only rarely does it involve the endocardium or cardiac valves.(3) The pericardial stage was used to suspend the pericardium and the phrenic nerve was preserved throughout its course.(4) Reference to the pericardium , epicardium, myocardium, endocardium and valves, chordae, ventricular thicknesses, and aorta and major vessels may be included.(5) One patient demonstrated multiple recurrences on the chest wall, with eventual direct extension to the pericardium , pleura, and lung.(6) One end of the needle was in the pericardial cavity, and the other was in the left ventricular cavity with organized thrombus covering the length of the needle.(7) These risks include bleeding, infection, hematoma, pneumothorax, pericardial effusion, myocardial infarction, stroke, and death.(8) She underwent reconstruction of the aortic root with enlargement of the aortic root and pericardial patch placement.(9) In the present series, edema, manifested locally as tissue swelling and systemically as pulmonary edema and pleural and pericardial effusions, was a prominent feature.(10) After the lung and tumor are removed, a vascular pedicle of pericardial fat is loosely sutured to the bronchial stump.
